Ah! So you want to become a social media specialist, or social ninja as I prefer to call it! If I am correct, you are at the right place. Here in our dojo you will learn how to listen, engage and measure your social media activity and to become a master of social communication. The goal of this training is to make you a social media Jedi that is well-trained and well-represented as a social media communications specialist.
Hopefully you've spent some time with Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn. Hopefully you've blogged a bit and sent out posts to some of your trusted network (family and friends) for their opinion. These are all things that are necessary to building your own confidence to continue to pursue Social Networking on an ongoing basis for your own purposes. If you haven't, no problem, we will help you master these skills from scratch.
Your training will contain a series of grueling exercises and activties that test your dedication and desire to become a social media communications specialist. Stay on-track and complete all of the activities and you will be rewarded with your goal. Good luck!

Register a Gmail account using the same name you will use for the following activities so that your email is consistent with the persona you will use (ie Your.Name@gmail.com or email@example.com). Use this email to create a Twitter handle, Facebook Page (not profile), LinkedIn account, Google+ profile, Flickr, YouTube, Blogger, Wordpress and a HootSuite account. Register them all with the same user name which you want to be associated with you as well as the same email address you have just registered.
*It is also key to obtain and register the domain which should also match your persona (ie. www.yourname.com). This can be done through GoDaddy.com. This should cost about $12 and is necessary if you are serious about building your personal brand. If you cannot make this commitment at this time, we can move through the activities and host our blog utilizing free services until you can secure your domain.
